The ChlorMaker DO easily drapes across the top of the hot tub or spa and hangs into the water. The ChlorMaker DO makes chlorine without the hot tub or spa turned on and will generate chlorine for spas and hot tubs that hold up to 3785 litres (1000 gallons) of water at a production rate of 30 grams of chlorine per day. The ChlorMaker DO has to be plugged into a GFCI 110V outlet 10 feet from the hot tub. It is recommended to have the hot tub cover off the spa for 15-20 minutes every few days to allow the chemical vapors to vent if the hot tub is not used regularly.
The ChlorMaker is designed so that it can be mounted to the hot tub skirt for easy access. Three buttons are used to adjust the chlorine production and it runs on three hour cycles. If additional chlorine is require it has a "boost" cycle that will increase chlorine production. ChlorMaker DO can run on any type of hot tub heating system but it is recommended to have or eventually replace the heater element with a titanium heater element
